Un incendio boschivo vicino a Vilamartín de Valdeorras, Spagna ha distrutto finora circa 18.000 ettari. Secondo le notizie più recenti, l'incendio non è ancora sotto controllo. La storia inizia il 15 agosto 2025, quando Google News (Quiroga) ha riportato: “Alarm in A Rúa vanwege een brand waardoor de N-120 tussen Quiroga en Valdeorras moest worden doorgesneden - El Progreso de Lugo”. Alcuni giorni dopo, il 17 agosto 2025, Google News (Quiroga) scrive: “Het vuur van Larouco rukt ongecontroleerd op: Valdeorras, Quiroga, O Courel en El Bierzo - El Progreso de Lugo”. Alcuni giorni dopo, il 20 agosto 2025, Google News (Quiroga) scrive: “Het vuur van Valdeorras blijft actief en ongecontroleerd in Quiroga - Somos Comarca”. L'ultimo aggiornamento, del 27 agosto 2025, arriva da Google News (Carballeda de Valdeorras): “Vier branden zijn nog steeds actief in Galicië: die in Carballeda de Valdeorras (Orense) verwoest al 5.000 hectare - El Debate”. Onze eigen satellietdata bevestigt dit beeld: het NASA FIRMS-systeem registreerde 1793 hittedetecties op deze locatie, verspreid over 13 dagen. Con 1793 rilevamenti, questo è stato il 4° incendio più grande registrato in Spagna nel 2025 (su 74 grandi incendi registrati).
